Glenwood teachers gathered last summer to brainstorm the question, “How can we encourage our students to care more about their individual learning?” After hours of meaningful conversation, Ideas were exchanged, research was conducted, and a plan was put into place. This year, throughout our classrooms, you will see and hear a lot about having a “growth mindset”. We are urging both teachers and students to see that, through dedication and hard work, those abilities can grow and develop; their abilities are NOT “fixed”. Our purpose is to nurture and develop a life-long love for learning in our students and encourage them to see challenges and failures as opportunities for even greater growth.
