Having a Growth Mindset

Glenwood teachers gathered last summer to brainstorm the\r\nquestion, “How can we encourage our students to care more about their individual\r\nlearning?” After hours of meaningful conversation, Ideas were exchanged,\r\nresearch was conducted, and a plan was put into place. This year, throughout\r\nour classrooms, you will see and hear a lot about having a “growth mindset”. We\r\nare urging both teachers and students to see that, through dedication and hard work,\r\nthose abilities can grow and develop; their abilities are NOT “fixed”. Our purpose\r\nis to nurture and develop a life-long love for learning in our students and\r\nencourage them to see challenges and failures as opportunities for even greater\r\ngrowth.
