Branson Open Chess Tournament
The first Branson Open Chess Tournament was held, Saturday,
February 23, 2019. It was another extremely early morning, but the
team members are dedicated and thoroughly enjoyed the day. Due
to previously scheduled events, not all of the Glenwood Chess Team
was able to attend the tournament, but those that did attend, did a
wonderful job and represented their school well by bringing home the
3rd place Middle School (5th – 8th grade) team trophy. Participant
placements are as follows: Nehemiah Wright – 18th place; Kyler
Curran – 9th place; Morgan Lee – 2 nd place; Kaden Curran – 25th
place.
Fantastic job, Knights!!!
The next tournament is scheduled for Saturday, March 9th at Junction Hill School in West Plains.
