
Reminder: Glenwood will release school one hour earlier EVERY FRIDAY we are in session this school year. This aligns us with the West Plains High School schedule. Parent pick-up will begin at 2:30PM on Fridays, and our buses should depart at approximately 2:50PM. Thank you!

Reminder: School begins tomorrow, August 20th, at Glenwood! Breakfast is cinnamon roll, cereal/fruit, juice/milk. Lunch is turkey and cheese sandwich, chips/broccoli/fruit, milk. We look forward to seeing our students!

Glenwood will begin school on Wednesday, August 20th. High school students can ride a bus from Glenwood to the high school on Monday and Tuesday morning (arrive by 7:40AM), and will be transported from the high school back to Glenwood in the afternoon if needed (pick up from Glenwood by 4:00PM).

Just a reminder, open house will be held at Glenwood on Thursday, August 14th, from 5:00-7:00PM. We look forward to seeing our students and families!

Reminder: Coach Melvin will have softball camp/practice today and tomorrow from 5:00-7:00PM, and on Wednesday from 4:00-5:30PM. This is for students entering grades 4-8 for the upcoming school year.

The Glenwood PTO Back to School Pool Party is this Friday, August 8th, from 6:00-8:00PM. It will be at the West Plains City Pool. We hope all of our Glenwood students and families can join us!

For any boys in grades 5-8 playing baseball this upcoming year, there will be baseball practice on Tuesday, August 5th and Wednesday, August 6th, from 9:00-11:00AM each day at Glenwood. Please be sure they have something to drink!

Reminder: Tomorrow is the last day of summer school at Glenwood. It will be water day! All students will need a swimsuit, towel & complete change of clothes. Thank you!

On Thursday, May 22, summer school field trips will return AFTER dismissal time. Students will need someone to pick them up from school when they return. Grades K-4 will return at 4:30PM, and grades 5-8 will return at 5:30PM.

Good morning. Due to the forecast for thunderstorms and severe weather today, we have made the decision to cancel the field trips scheduled today for grades 2-8. Grades K-1 will attend their morning trips in town, but they will return to school by 11:00AM. Thank you!

Dismissal and bus stop times will be EARLIER for the remainder of summer school. Parent pick-up will begin at approximately 3:10PM, and our buses will be leaving the parking lot at 3:30PM. Bus stop drop-off times will now be 20 minutes earlier in the afternoons. This is due to WPHS being out for summer. Thank you!

For those students to attend the trip to Teeny Tiny Town, there is a waiver that must be filled out. Again, this is only for students attending summer school in kindergarten or first grade. Coach Browning will have basketball practice during summer school for all boys and girls who will be in grades 5-8 and are interested in playing basketball next year. Practice will be held on Tuesdays for girls and on Thursdays for boys after school until 5:00PM. Again, this is for the three weeks of summer school May 5-23. Thank you!

A few announcements for this busy week! 8th grade graduation will be held on April 29 at 6:00PM, Kindergarten graduation will be on April 30 at 10:00AM, and preschool graduation will be on April 30 at 2:00PM. The last day of school is on Thursday, May 1. It will be a full day of school. 4th quarter awards will be held on Thursday, May 1. Awards ceremony times are: Grades 1-2, 8:30AM; Grades 3-5, 9:30AM; Grades 6-7, 10:45AM. We look forward to all of these end-of-year celebrations with our Glenwood students! Thank you!

Good evening! Just a reminder, there will be NO SCHOOL at Glenwood tomorrow, April 18 and Monday, April 21. Have a great weekend!

We have a couple of reminders for Glenwood students. First, if your child is in grades 3, 4, or 5, please have your child bring $2 and 10 candy-stuffed eggs for Easter parties tomorrow if you haven't already. Also, if you have a child in grades 4-8 who plan to participate in any type of athletic activity next year, we have to have their completed physical form by no later than tomorrow. We will be providing physicals through Ozarks Healthcare free of charge next week at Glenwood. If your child needs another blank form sent home with them, please call the office and let them know. Thank you!

Physical forms were sent home for students in grades 4-8 who plan to participate in athletics during the 2025-26 school year. Physicals will be provided free of charge during the school day. These completed forms need to be returned to the school by Friday, April 11. If you need additional forms, they can be picked up at the front office. Thank you!
