
Coach Browning will have basketball practice during summer school for all boys and girls who will be in grades 5-8 and are interested in playing basketball next year. Practice will be held on Tuesdays for girls and on Thursdays for boys after school until 5:00PM. Again, this is for the three weeks of summer school May 5-23. Thank you!

A few announcements for this busy week! 8th grade graduation will be held on April 29 at 6:00PM, Kindergarten graduation will be on April 30 at 10:00AM, and preschool graduation will be on April 30 at 2:00PM. The last day of school is on Thursday, May 1. It will be a full day of school. 4th quarter awards will be held on Thursday, May 1. Awards ceremony times are: Grades 1-2, 8:30AM; Grades 3-5, 9:30AM; Grades 6-7, 10:45AM. We look forward to all of these end-of-year celebrations with our Glenwood students! Thank you!

Good evening! Just a reminder, there will be NO SCHOOL at Glenwood tomorrow, April 18 and Monday, April 21. Have a great weekend!

We have a couple of reminders for Glenwood students. First, if your child is in grades 3, 4, or 5, please have your child bring $2 and 10 candy-stuffed eggs for Easter parties tomorrow if you haven't already. Also, if you have a child in grades 4-8 who plan to participate in any type of athletic activity next year, we have to have their completed physical form by no later than tomorrow. We will be providing physicals through Ozarks Healthcare free of charge next week at Glenwood. If your child needs another blank form sent home with them, please call the office and let them know. Thank you!

Physical forms were sent home for students in grades 4-8 who plan to participate in athletics during the 2025-26 school year. Physicals will be provided free of charge during the school day. These completed forms need to be returned to the school by Friday, April 11. If you need additional forms, they can be picked up at the front office. Thank you!

School WILL be in session tomorrow at Glenwood. Some bus routes may be impacted by the flooding. If the bus cannot get to your house and your child cannot attend, please call and let the office know tomorrow morning. Thank you.

Girls track practice will be held after school today in the gym. The track meet scheduled for tomorrow has been cancelled and will not be rescheduled. Also, the 8th grade class will have a few dozen donuts for sale after school today. They are $10 for a dozen glazed, $11 for a dozen of a few select varieties. Let Coach Kutter know if you would like to purchase some donuts!

Good morning. The PTO Spring Carnival that was scheduled for tomorrow evening has been postponed to Friday, April 25th. This is due to the forecast for excessive rainfall, flooding, and another round of potentially severe weather moving through our area tomorrow evening. Thank you!

There will be NO SCHOOL at Glenwood tomorrow, April 4th, due to the forecast for excessive rainfall and flooding. This will be an AMI day, and AMI work was sent home with students this afternoon. The National Weather Service is forecasting between 6"-10" of rainfall, and we do not want to risk the safety of our students and staff. Thank you.

Thank you to everyone for your patience today during the storms this afternoon. All of our students are heading home. Just a reminder, tomorrow we will have track pictures, spring picture retakes, Kindergarten graduation pictures, and 8th grade graduation pictures. Thank you!

Students are out of shelter. We are loading buses now, and they should be leaving Glenwood within the next 5-7 minutes.

Students are now heading back to their classrooms to get ready for dismissal. Parent pickup will begin immediately. Bus riders will be delayed since we are waiting on the high school dismissal. Bus riders will be delayed by approximately 30 minutes later than normal. I will send a follow-up message when buses are leaving Glenwood. Thank you.

We have moved all students to our FEMA tornado shelter. Students will remain in the shelter until the tornado warning has been lifted.

There will be a hot meal provided at Glenwood tonight for the Glenwood community beginning at 5:30PM. Come hungry! The meal includes Beans & Cornbread, Ham, BBQ Meatballs, Green Beans, Rolls, Tea, Lemonade, and Cake! Even if you cannot stay to eat, there will be to-go boxes! Please share this information with others in the community who may not receive this message.

There will be NO SCHOOL tomorrow, Tuesday, March 18 at Glenwood. The school remains without power at this time. Staff members will be riding bus routes tomorrow morning to distribute snacks and other necessities to some of our Glenwood students and families.
